CHANGES TO THE 2014 DOG LICENSES

Effective December 1, 2012 the renewal months will no longer be December through February.  The renewal month will coincide with the month of the rabies vaccination expiring each year on the vaccination date.At that time the owner has the option to purchase a one year or three year license depending on the rabies vaccination expiration. The three year licenses are only available to those who are at the beginning of their three year rabies vaccination. All others must purchase a one year until the start of a new three year vaccination. We are only allowed to sell 2014 licenses through the month of August. September and subsequent licenses can only be purchased at Genesee County treasurer's office or at Animal control.

In addition to the new schedule, the fees have also changed
A spayed/neutered pet will be $10 for a one year license or $25 for a three year license.
A male/female will be $30 for a one year license or $80 for a three year license.
The delinquent fee will be $50 for a one year license or $1000 for a three year license regardless if the pet is altered or unaltered. Delinquet licenses will only be available at Animal Control.
